Greetings,

December is the month where the past, the present and the future come together.  By marking the end of another year, we are given the opportunity to reflect upon the highlights and milestones of the past twelve months, to stop and appreciate where we are in life and what is important to us, and to feel excitement for the new experiences that the New Year will bring.

2017 has been a particularly significant year for Westminster Conservatory.  We are heartened by the ongoing support that we receive from our families and friends in the community, and we are honored to continue to share the gift of music through a full complement of lessons, classes and music camps with the community, as well as many amazing concerts by our faculty and students throughout the year.

We have been able to continue our outreach programs to those less fortunate as Jennifer Garr, head of the Early Childhood program, coordinated and taught music classes at the Millhill Child and Family Development Center in Trenton and the Princeton YWCA Daycare program, both sponsored by PNC Foundation.

This month, there were special invitational performances at the White House and Drumthwacket by our Children's Choirs under the direction of Patricia Thel.  The Guitars of Westminster, under the direction of Mark Johnstone, also performed holiday music at Drumthwacket. Ruth Ochs led the Community Orchestra in a joyous Chanukah and Christmas Sing-along in the Playhouse and the Community Chorus, under new director James Moyer, presented a program entitled Christmas Around the World accompanied by a small brass ensemble, also featuring a Sing-along.

I look back over the year and am profoundly thankful for the talented, dedicated, and hard-working faculty and staff of the Conservatory as well as you, our incredibly loyal families that continue to entrust your children and often yourselves to be uplifted and inspired by our faculty.

We hope you will consider supporting your community music school by making a tax-deductible gift to Westminster Conservatory and helping us continue to offer music to the community for years to come.

Happy Holidays!

Executive Director
